LOCAL GROUND RULES: 13U Rep

Ontario Baseball Association (OBA) Tournament Rules shall apply. Subject to any exceptions as indicated in the following rules.

1. Standings will be determined by the numbers of points earned (2 for a win, 1 for a tie & 0 for a loss).
2. Team roster numbers are to be presented to the on-site convener one half (1/2) hour before their first game if possible.
3. Games to start promptly on time as per schedule. There is a 15-minute grace period on the 1st games played on Friday.
4. No infield warm-ups.
5. All games are a maximum of seven (7) innings in length. No new inning to start after one hour forty-five minutes of play (1:45).  OBA mercy rule will apply. In the event of a tie during the preliminary rounds, the tie will stand.
6. All quarter-final, semi-final, and final games will be played until there is a winner declared (no time limit).
7. In all OBA games, an 18 run mercy rule will apply after 3 innings (two & one half if the home team is ahead), a 15 run mercy will apply after 4 innings (three & one half if the home team is ahead), and a 10 run mercy will apply after 5 innings (four & one half if the home team is ahead).
8. Home field determined before the start of the game by a coin toss. Furthest team away makes the call.
9. The home team is to keep the official score and hand back the game sheet to the Convenor at the end of the game – to be signed by both managers or coaches.
10. The visitor team is to keep the official pitch count record and will submit the record with the official game sheet to the Convenor at the end of each game – to be signed by both team managers or coaches.
11. Ties in standings will be broken by OBA Tiebreaker Rule 7.3; where tie-breaking rules are required, the following will be used for each placement independently:
i. head to head record among tied teams;
ii. team with the smallest runs against ratio (runs allowed / number of defensive innings played) in games among tied teams;
iii. team with the smallest runs against ratio (runs allowed / number of defensive innings played) in all games;
iv. team with the highest runs for ratio (runs scored / number of offensive innings played) in games among tied teams;
v. team with the highest runs for ratio (runs scored / number of offensive innings played) in all games

12. The home team for the final game, including semis and quarters, will be the higher-seeded team.
13. Any player, coach or manager ejected by an umpire from a sanctioned tournament game is suspended for 1 game, and this to be the next scheduled game in that tournament.
14. The tournament schedule may be revised in case of rain or other delays.
15. Any protest will be resolved on the field by the Tournament Convenor. There will be no protest of an umpire's judgment call. A cash amount of $50.00 must accompany the protest; refunded if successful with the protest.
16. Managers and coaches are responsible for the conduct of anyone involved with their team, including spectators.
17. Tournament awards will be set at sixteen (16) per team.
18. Absolutely NO alcoholic beverages are permitted in the park.
19. The Bradford Minor Baseball Association, the tournament host team, and its officials accept no responsibility for any injuries to anyone in the park during the tournament.
20. No bat boys/girls unless they are on your roster and must wear a helmet and closed-toe shoes.
21. OBA pitching rules will be strictly enforced.
